Wood Gifts and Collection of Art Lacquered Miniature Caskets in Art Shop Online

If you admire an wood art casket with thin and smooth drawing on the black background plentifully decorated with gold shading know: before you - a Palekh lacquered miniature. It is based on a long local history of icon painting. Icon painting craft has arisen in the early thirties in village Palekh of the Ivanovo area.
In spite of the fact that the church demanded to fulfill precisely every element of icon, Palekh artists did it in their own manner of writing faces, figures, elements of landscape, buildings, carriages and so on. On the icons you could see some domestic details such as furniture, clothes, arms, horse harness. Some of them have been kept in today's Palekh m women's coats iniature art painting somewhat changed creatively.
Palekh art wasn't born accidentally. It was a result of century-old traditions in new historical conditions based on the knowledge of icon-painting handicraft of many generations. Their methods were rich and varied. From the very beginning Palekh artists had been studying and keeping old Russian art traditions. Therefore at an icon and a product executed in the spirit of palekh miniature have much common. After the 1917 Revolution, when the icon business went into the deepest of declines, Palekh masters tried their hands at decorating art wood tableware, kitchen utensils, toys, dishes, porcelain and glass. As it turned out, the most interesting way was the painting of paper-mache boxes that became the black-lacquered miniature.
The varnish miniature is executed by tempera paint on a papier-mache. Colour of palekh painting is based on a combination of three colours - red, yellow and green. The Palekh miniatures usually represent characters from real life, literary works, fairy tales, bylinas, and songs. They are painted with local bright paints over the black background and are known for their delicate and smooth design, abundance of golden shading, and accurate silhouettes of flattened figures, which often cover the surface of the lids and sides of the articles completely. Poetic magic of the Palekh characters, decorativeness of landscapes and architecture, and elongated proportions of the figures go back to the icon-painting traditions. The miniatures are usually set off with a complicated pattern made with gold dissolved in aqua regia.
Palekh lacquered miniatures are painted on articles - caskets and boxes, brooches and hairpins for ties, a panel and ashtrays and great number of other little things made of papier-mache.
The process of making Palekh articles is the following: The first operation in the making of these gems of folk art is the cutting out of the cardboard. The strips of cardboard are covered with flour paste, placed on circular or rectangular moulds and pressed. After that the material is given a coating of warm linseed oil. The carefully checked pieces are handed to the joiners. Then the undercoat is applied to the article with a steel palette knife. The outside of Palekh articles is painted with black lacquer. The inside is painted with red lacquer. The final operation before painting: about seven coats of transparent oil varnish is applied to the outside and inside of the article. Every coat applied is dried in the furnace for 9 hours at 90?°C.
The articles are now ready to be handed to the artists. The work of the artist begins with preparation of the paint. In Palekh the paints are mixed with egg emulsion. The yolk, separated from the white, is returned to the shell where a mixture of water and vinegar is added. Then the emulsion is stirred with a special brush. Before painting the article, the artist draws on the design. Then the composition is outlined in white lead with a very fine squirrel brush and the colours are then applied in strict succession. The work of the miniature painter requires not only creative inspiration, but also extreme care and precision which is why Palekh painters frequently make use of a magnifying glass. When the painting is over, the artist begins the gold work. The gold must be polished to give it the necessary shine. After having signed the article the artist coats it by transparent oil varnish and polish by hand.
The village of Palekh is situated in 65 km to the east from Ivanovo town on the bank of the Paleshka-river, which flows among the hills covered by leaf-bearing forests. In the 15th century it was a part of the Vladimir Susdal lands and was one of the first ancient centers of the icon art. In the 17th and 18th centuries Palekh's craftsmen rose to become the most famous in all of icon art. They developed a unique style identifiably distinguished by the fine line tempera drawing saturated with gold of their own. These art works were valued for the depth of the images, the subtlety of color placement, their intricate and minute attention to detail as much as for their fairy-tale-like ornamental design. Palekh artists are universally regarded as the most highly trained of the Russian miniature painters. The discipline and masterful technique of the ancient art of icon painting is readily seen in works of the various artists.
Luxurious art presents of wood tableware and Palekh, Mstiora lacquered miniatures you can look at online Art Store site. It is amazing that what started out as a true folk tradition over hundreds years ago is still thriving and remains basically true to it's roots, albeit on a more organized scale.

How To Get Rid Of Nail Fungus. Natural Remedy

WHAT IS NAIL FUNGUS?

An infection of nail fungus can occur when fungi infect one or more of your nails. A nail fungal infection may begin as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail. As the nail fungus spreads deeper into your nail, it may cause your nail to discolor, thicken and develop crumbling edges ?€" an unsightly and potentially painful problem.

NAIL FUNGUS SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

You may have a nail fungal infection ?€" (also called onychomycosis) ?€" if one or more of your nails are:

* Thickened
* Brittle, crumbly or ragged
* Distorted in shape
* Dull, with no luster or shine
* A dark color, caused by debris building up under your nail

CAUSES

Fungi are microscopic organisms that don't need sunlight to survive. Some fungi have beneficial uses, while others cause illness and infection.

Nail fungal infections are typically caused by a fungus that belongs to a group of fungi called dermatophytes. But yeasts and molds also can be responsible for nail fungal infections.

RISK FACTORS

Nail fungus is more common among older adults for several reasons, including diminished blood circulation, more years of exposure to fungi and because nails may grow more slowly and thicken with aging, making them more susceptible to infection. Nail fungus also tends to affect men more than women and those with a family history of this infection. Resistance to fungal infection likely has a genetic component.

COMPLICATIONS

Nail fungal infections can be painful and may cause permanent damage to your nails. They may also lead to other serious infections that can spread beyond your feet if you have a suppressed immune system due to medication, diabetes or other conditions.

TREATMENT

Nail fungus can be difficult to treat, and repeated infections are common. Over-the-counter antifungal nail creams and ointments are available, but they aren't very effective.

Oral medications
To treat nail fungus, your doctor may prescribe an oral antifungal medication, such as:

* Itraconazole (Sporanox)
* Fluconazole (Diflucan)
* Terbinafine (Lamisil)

These medications help a new nail grow free of infection, slowly replacing the infected portion of your nail. You typically take these medications for six to 12 weeks but won't see the end result of treatment until the nail grows back completely. It may take four months or longer to eliminate an infection. Recurrent infections are possible, especially if you continue to expose your nails to warm, moist conditions.

Antifungal drugs may also cause side effects ranging from skin rashes to liver damage. Doctors may not recommend them for people with liver disease or congestive heart failure or for those taking certain medications.

PREVENTION

To help prevent nail fungus and reduce recurrent infections, practice good hand and foot hygiene by following these steps:

* Keep your nails short, dry and clean. Trim nails straight across and file down thickened areas. Thoroughly dry your hands and feet, including between your toes, after bathing.

* Wear appropriate socks. Synthetic socks that wick away moisture may keep your feet dryer than do cotton or wool socks (you can also wear synthetic socks underneath other socks). Change them often, especially if your feet sweat excessively. Take your shoes off occasionally during the day and after exercise. Alternate closed-toe shoes with open-toed shoes.

* Use an antifungal spray or powder. Spray or sprinkle your feet and the insides of your shoes.

* Wear rubber gloves. This protects your hands from overexposure to water. Between uses, turn the rubber gloves inside out to dry.

* Don't trim or pick at the skin around your nails. This may give germs access to your skin and nails.

* Don't go barefoot in public places. Wear shoes around public pools women's coats , showers and locker rooms.

* Choose a reputable manicure and pedicure salon. Make sure the salon sterilizes its instruments. Better yet, bring your own.

* Give up nail polish and artificial nails. Although it may be tempting to hide nail fungal infections under a coat of pretty pink polish, this can trap unwanted moisture and worsen the infection.

* Wash your hands after touching an infected nail. Nail fungus can spread from nail to nail.

NAIL FUNGUS SELF-CARE

Sometimes, people turn to traditional home made remedies because current treatments can take a long time to work and aren't always effective . There are two remedies that have proved to help nail fungus infections : vinegar and Vicks VapoRub.

Rotational Molding - Seamless Manufacturing Method For Millions of Products

There are so many common products we take for granted in everyday life. While it's true that many urban kids don't know that milk comes from cows or what a real wheat field looks like, the same is true for manufactured products that are mainstream to life in America.

How about the garbage bin outside your home, the bright orange road cones used for road safety, bicycle helmets and giant tanks used for water storage? Chances are these disparate products were made using a popular manufacturing method called Rotational Molding. What they have in common is a hard, continuous outer shell and a hollow space inside.

The Process

Rotational molding was an innovation of the 1940s, but wasn't widely used until the development of better technology that made the process faster. In addition, new polymer and plastic products entered the marketplace and were well suited for rotational molds. This method of molding plastics has several advantages over some other techniques which result in higher prices for products fashion coats online and a less environmentally friendly process.

The first step in producing a lightweight and affordable polyethylene (plastic) product is to create a mold. This is usually done using a computer software program capable of creating three dimensional images. The mold is most often made of aluminum because the lightweight material is easier to handle than some other metals although it may be a bit more costly. Machinists get to work tooling the mold from the design. Once the mold is done, the rest of the process is in the hands of the plastics manufacturer where the rotational molding is done.

Here's where some imagination is required. Picture the ride at the State Fair where a person is strapped into a kind of gyroscope that turns them up, down, sideways and around. That's what will happen to the mold. But first, the manufacturer measures polymer resin, a granular powder, and pours it into the mold. The mold is fitted into place in an oven that's heated to an appropriate temperature. Inside the oven, the mold makes its axial turns, spreading the grains of polymer evenly over the inner surface of the mold.

As the aluminum quickly heats up, the resin melts and continues to coat the inside of the mold. The time the mold spends spinning and heating is critical to the quality of the product. In the past it was up to the rotational mold experts to judge when a mold was ready to remove from the oven and cool. Today, sensitive instruments gauge the air temperature in the mold, improving quality control.

Fans are often used to help the mold cool. Unlike some other mold methods - such as injection molds - the cooling of the aluminum causes the mold to shrink slightly away from the interior of the mold. This allows easy removal of the largest products, such as water tanks. The product is then carefully inspected by the rotational manufacturer and, if it meets all specifications, is shipped to the customer.

Molding Benefits

For many products, rotational molding makes a big difference in the price of a product and in its durability. The manufacturing process does not require lots of interlocking and moving parts. Therefore, maintenance is minimal as is replacement of parts. In addition, there's little waste of material, a factor that makes the process more environmentally sound.

Durability of products is also very important to manufacturers, particularly those marketing items that will serve customers over extended periods of time. For example, a water tank produced with the rotational molding process will provide much longer service than a comparable steel tank. Rotational molds can be made to any specification or shape, and can be manufactured in less time than steel. They are also very lightweight, cost less to transport and are not as challenging or awkward to install onsite. Of course, a big advantage to molded tanks is that, unlike steel, they will never rust.

Next time you see a one-piece, hollow product made of polymer plastic (maybe a kayak or the face of a doll) astound your friends with the fact that you know just how it was done - with the rotational molding process.

Rustic Western Style Home Decorating

Aching for some West Texas or old fashioned log cabin style home decorating?

This is a great choice to make! This is a timeless and rustic style of home decorating. This style is also known as pioneer, log cabin, ranch, western or mountain style decorating.

No matter what you call it, this type of style is based upon the use of natural materials such as logs and woods, twigs, animal hides and antlers, rocks, metals, etc. To begin with you will want to figure out how you can add these natural materials to your home.

Western style furniture is usually rugged large heavy type furniture, but simple in design. There is a lot of use of bare wood. Very often in this style you will see rustic log beds, and other log furniture. Fabrics are often Native American prints, Cowboy prints, or cabin style-kinds of prints, including use of moose, bear, elk, etc in the prints. If these are not your usual preference, consider a rough or natural hair on finish leather, denim, suede, or weaves.

Colors should be mostly earthtones, such as rich browns, dark greens, dark reds, golds, etc. Some additional colors might include slate gray, wrought iron black, deep dark blues or lighter creams and yellows.

You'll want to add such items as knickknacks, old bottles, kitchen tools, quilts, blankets, wall hangings, pillows, antiques etc. This decor would integrate cowboys, saddles, horses, Native American crafts, wild animals and antlers found in forests and mountains, trout and streams, wildflowers, etc.

Old time items will go well with the look. You should look for bright and bold-colored quilts, old saddle blankets, barrels, weathered farm tools, Native American tools, feeding troughs, ropes and so on.

Use old horseshoes as candle holders or clothes hooks on your wall or as bookends. Take bandanas, animal hides, etc and make them into pillows, quilt squares, or even lampshade covers. Rawhide is often used for rustic lamp shades and lamps are also commonly made from logs and or antlers. Decorate with old Mason jars and canning items by scattering them around on your side tables, bookcases, or fireplace mantel.

A rustic, western style, or log cabin home should usually have a natural floor... preferably made from hardwoods or recycled plank flooring. But they could also be made from tile or flagstone. Western-style area rugs are also a nice look and will help to keep the tootsies warm.

Rustic lighting is a perfect complement and will go well with your new style of decorating. Old lamps made with cowboy or ranch prints are great, but you can use almost any lamps made from wood, metal, antlers and or rawhide. Lampshades made of stretched rawhide will really add to that ranch feel.

Other decorative details might include Native American beading, fringe, twig accents, metal drawer pulls and doorknobs, and anything made from logs. Many items made from animal antlers are popular such as lamps, chandeliers, coat hooks, drawer pulls, etc. Pottery and stoneware will add to the rough look.

Obviously there are women's jackets a number of ways you can add this look to your home or business. Whether you are just adding a little touch, or decorating a rustic log cabin. The use of natural logs, metal, animal hides, antlers, etc will give a warm, rich look in the rustic, cowboy, or mountain style you are looking for.

Best Car Wash and Wax Tips from the Pros

It is a proven fact that the better your car looks the higher the value you will get at resale or trade-in. Proper car care to include washing, waxing, and polishing will not only make your car look its best, but will help retain its value and make it last longer. For the purpose of this article we questioned numerous detailing experts and other similar professionals as to what works best. Here are their best car care recommendations:

Start by using a garage or shaded area. The hot sun will make proper car care and cleaning hard, if not impossible and could be detrimental to your car's finish. Next thoroughly wet down the car. This will remove dirt and road debris which will cause scratches if you skip this step and start using a sponge and soap on the car. If it is a hot day, be sure to routinely wet the car so it does not dry suds or cleaning chemicals on it.

Next use a car wash fashion jackets solution, don't use general purpose detergents and cleaners that were never meant for car care and car washing. A car wash solution will not dry out your paint or strip and possibly remove protective coatings. A long armed, soft bristled wash brush will greatly reduce the time it takes to thoroughly clean your car. It will also make it easier on your back and muscles. A good quality brush can be cheaply obtained at Walmart for about $10-$15 - buy one, you will be glad you did. When you have finished washing the whole car, use a chamois to dry off your car. A chamois will remove water quickly and not leave lint which terry cloths are prone to do. Routinely washing your car will remove things like bird droppings, bugs and industrial fallout which are all detrimental to your car's paint and finish. If there is road tar or stubborn bugs left after washing you should use a bug and tar remover prior to waxing and polishing.

It is a good idea to follow washing with the application of a cleaner/polish. This will remove minor imperfections in the paint caused by the environment and sun damage, remove minor scratches, and provide a good surface for car wax or car polish. Follow the directions on the bottle. Basically you apply cleaner wax as you would wax - in a circular motion and you treat one area or panel at a time. Use modest pressure and then let dry to a whitish haze. Buff with a clean cloth towel and reapply as necessary.

Then you need to decide whether to use car wax or a polymer car polish. According to the experts, carnauba car wax has the deepest and wettest looking shine, but it is also the weakest protection for the harsh environment (acid rain, extreme temperature ranges, bird droppings, etc...). Car polish is easier to apply as it requires less effort to apply and remove. It will also last much longer (some have polymers and even Teflon and will last as long as 52 car washes after 1 application). Car polish will still give you that new car look and was the unanimous recommendation from our experts for any outdoor use (car wax was recommended mostly for car shows). Both car polish and car wax are applied in the same way and many come with a cloth or foam applicator. Apply in a small circular motion same as with the cleaner/polish. Car polish will go on easier and come off easier than car wax and requires only one coat for great protection in any climate. After allowing it to dry to a haze, buff it off, but use a microfiber towel as it will leave a smoother finish quicker and without any lint.

The above recommended steps for properly washing, waxing and polishing your car will leave you with the best shine, maximum protection, make your car last, and maintain its highest value. Remember, a little proper car care can and will go a long way.

So, be sure not to miss out on decorating supplies, furnishings, accessories, paint, wallpaper, and fabrics that can be found at many thrift stores.

Sometimes pulling items from one room to another and simply reorganizing, fixing up, or just using an item in a different way can be enough. Add a fresh coat of paint, use different window dressings, and a replacement of furnishings, because then you will have a brand new room. Do you need some paint? If so and you can be flexible about color, then check the mixed table at your local home improvement, hardware, or paint stores.

You can often times find high quality paints for a fraction of the original retail cost when colors do not turn out exactly as they should have. In fact, sometimes you can find a slight variation of just the color you have already picked that will work just as well with your selected color scheme and save you lots of money at the same time.

Many people will go this direction, because they can get paint that has been mixed incorrectly for usually two to three dollars per gallon or less. You may also want to purchase them throughout the year and store them appropriately for later use. This way you can go shopping in your very paint department first to see if you can accommodate the decorating plan that you have chosen. Planning ahead and grabbing these types of decorating supplies when they are a bargain is a great way to maximize your savings.

Collecting fabrics for future use is also another great idea. Even unwanted clothing can be used to create small window dressings, pillow covers, and accessories. Many people will give away scraps of fabrics or sell them at yard sales. Be sure to check clearance and end piece items at sewing and fabric shops. It is really so simple to make a curtain or a pillow, because it usually only requires sewing simple seams. For more complicated tasks, if you cannot figure it out for yourself, then you are sure to find a how-to book at any library or search on-line for free information.

There are some excellent ideas for decorating on a budget, do it yourself projects, and some great decorating theme ideas on Home and Garden Television. Even if you do not get this wonderful television channel in your home, then you can go online to their website to benefit from some wonderful ideas and projects by professionals. You can get some great ideas for areas of your home where you just do not know what to do with it.

Before you make your plans, check out several books at the library on home decorating, because you will find no shortage of books on this subject. Glance through them and grab ideas to incorporate into your own decorating task.

Holiday Shopping Advice For Staying Safe

It is a sad fact that, unfortunately, very many tourists each year travelling abroad have wallets, purses, money and cards stolen from them. As a consequence, of course, they completely ruin the holiday that they have been waiting so long for.

The problem is that people going abroad tend to feel very relaxed, and let down their normal guard. Things that they wouldn't consider doing at home become bad habits that they don't think twice about once abroad, and yet the dangers are often even greater. Petty thieves and organized gangs are very aware of the fact that tourists have three main weaknesses. Firstly, they are relaxed as they are on holiday, and likely to have their guard down. Secondly, they are very likely to be carrying plenty of cash and cards on them. And thirdly, they are in unfamiliar territory, allowing sneak thieves and opportunistic criminals the chance to make a swift and effective getaway, often before you even know a crime has been committed.

So what can you do to help guard against such unfortunate circumstances? One of the common problems is that people on holiday start doing things at strange hours such as shopping late at night, just because they can. The darkness only adds to the dangers, and as tourists, whether you like to admit it or not, you'll be noticeable as such. Doing your shopping during daylight hours, when there are more people about is a safer choice. Of course, whenever you choose to do your shopping it pays to not be too flashy, and wearing expensive jewellery and carrying an expensive designer handbag will draw attention to yourself, but not always in the way you would want.

You will undoubtedly have to carry cash on you, but try to keep this to a minimum, and if you do have a fair amount with you, split it between your inside pockets and your wallet, so that it is not all kept in one single place. Don't put cash, cards or your wallet in your back pocket as this is far more vulnerable, and very easy to pick. In addition to which, the fact that it's behind you immediately puts you at a disadvantage because the thief will be able to get away without you ever having caught sight of his face.

Wherever you can, use your credit card to make purchases. Not only is this safer because your credit card company will protect you against fraud and purchases which turn out to be suspicious, but it is less flashy. Nothing is more tempting than a casual, tired tourist who's not paying a great deal of attention and is in a shop making a payment with wads of notes hanging out of the wallet.

Your holiday is a time to relax, but at the same time there will be a thousand different things going on about you that will distract you, intrigue you or interest you. It is difficult, but at all times try to be aware of your surroundings, the people around you, and where your wallet and other items are kept. An inside front pocket is the safest, although if you're wearing a coat or jacket, make sure that this doesn't easily flap open and leave the wallet exposed. It may be an old trick, but it still works - to bump into someone apparently accidentally, but in fact making a quick grab for the wallet in the inside jacket pocket. fashion jackets online It's easily done, and you won't even realise it's happened until you try to make your next payment.

3 Rad Ways To Pimp Your Cell Phone

Nine times out of ten you're thinking of dunking your cellphone into the fire or mixing it in the blender because everyone else seems to be sporting a snazzy, sexy cell phone, while you are stuck with one that's snarky, ugly, obsolete and so unhip that it's started to look like a pig's behind. Chances are that you are planning to call it an antique and shove it down the throat of some wacko buyer on eBay.

Let's move on to the next step ?€" your new cellphone. Now you women's coats need to pick up something and jazz it up so much, that you can show it off and make your buddies go green with envy. So, here are the latest ways using which, you can pimp up your cellphone:

1. Turn your cellphone into an ecosystem: In other words, convert your cellphone into an environmental-friendly product and check out the "oohs" and the "aahs" you get when you gently explain, to the opposite sex, how your cellphone actually protects the ozone layer. Don't buy cellphones that use non-biodegradable plastics; don't go near cellphones that coat their phones with flame retardant chemicals such as bromine-based flame retardants; conserve electricity by charging your phone as much as is required ?€" better still, there's a new kind of phone that's made using bamboo and is powered by solar cells. Go for that. Our planet is getting hotter by the day; at least make your cellphone look cool!

2. Go for total convergence: First, get your cellphone hooked into a mobile radio service ?€" there are many mobile services available and many, many more are on the way. Next, get a mobile TV service going ?€" it's about 10 bucks a month, but that's nothing if you want to really pimp your buddy up. Now, get mobile VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) going ?€" make calls to anyone in the world using your local connection! Bang, that's gonna get you some cool eyeballs! Now ?€" here's the sucker punch ?€" build all these features into a full screen phone! Mobile companies are coming out with full screen phones where everything is touch operated and the screen lights up when touched! Imagine a full screen phone with radio, TV and Mobile VOIP! Cool!

3. Make it burglar-proof: There are applications available in the market that make your cellphone scream out like Bruce Springsteen did while bellowing out "Born In The USA". Okay, the Bruce Springsteen bit was a joke, but, seriously, mobile applications are available that make your cellphone scream if it is stolen. Not just that, these applications lock in your private data, which can be recovered when you find the phone. Imagine what a technosavvy image you will project! Move over Neo, you two-bit son of an antique!

These are the top three ways you can pimp up your cellphone. Not only will your cellphone increase your social rank, it will also offer you protection from theft and provide you with entertainment when you need it the most ?€" while at work or while studying. Plus, it will massage the ozone layer for you. Now what more can you wish for ?€" Go for it, dude!

The dog was used for guarding the villages and in some cases only one dog was guarding a whole village. This dog was locked up in the day and at night would patrol the village keeping it safe, as the men would need to work away for days at a time. It was Queen Victoria of England that had the dog first in the mid 1800's and this set the dog status, and the gates opened to the west bring the dog from its isolation. Where Can I Buy Mens Cologne And Not Spend A Fortune Shopping For It?

Have you ever had to buy mens Cologne for your Boyfriend, father or brother? It can be a rough task for the not so everyday shopper. When buying mens cologne you have a fifty fifty chance of him liking or disliking the cologne. Remember cologne smells different on every skin type. You just have to be lucky enough to select the right one.

The first step is to distinguish the mens cologne from the womans cologne because all the boxes look pretty much the same and sometimes smell the same as well. The obvious thing to do is look for the cologne for men sign or look for a representative to help you sample some cologne. Most stores have a wide variety of mens cologne that has a tester bottle where you can actually test what some of the colognes smell like.

Another hint is to look for the discount cologne sign. This will help you save a couple dollars so that if you are having a tough time picking one out of two colognes that you like, you can purchase another cologne with some of the money you have saved. Some online drugstores sell a wide variety of named brand mens colognes and at a better price.

Some online drugstores even offer free shipping with your purchase. The trick is finding the right online drugstore that has what price is right for you.

Sometimes the sales representative may ask you to sniff a jar of coffee beans.

Don?鈧?t get excited this is just to refresh your senses so that the mens colognes will smell different to you. If you do not do this then all the colognes will smell no different and impair your decision. You don?鈧?t want to buy a certain cologne a fashion coats nd then have it smell totally different from what you expected. They may spell bad but at least you can smell the difference between the colognes you will be buying.

Once you find which mens cologne you like ask the representative if there is any gift baskets or any combinations the manufacturer may be offering if you buy that certain mens cologne. Sometimes if you buy one bottle of cologne for $50 there may be a gift set that offers the same bottle but also offers some after shave or even some soap that is still the same price if not less.

There are many different mens colognes out on the market today. Some smell exactly the same as another one but then there are other mens colognes that have a certain smell that stands out. These are the ones you want to focus on because the smell is different and it may be a new smell that not many people have smelled before.
You know you have picked the right cologne when the person who the cologne is for gets asked questions or compliments saying ?鈧?wow what kind of mens cologne is that you are wearing??鈧?If this is the case then you come out smelling like a rose.

Norwegian Elkhound Dog Breed Profile

The Norwegian Elkhound can be traced as far back as the stone ages. Through the study of the fossils from that time it can be determined that there existed the same basic dog that we know of today as the Elkhound.

This breed has such purity of ancestry that it can be considered to be one of the most ancient of all the dogs. The Norwegian word for the dog", elghund" actually means "moosedog" however, Elkhound is the translation which stuck. Hound is probably not an appropriate term for the dog does not have any hound in its genetic makeup. However despite this the dog was brought into the American Kennel club in the Hound group. Devotees of the breed find that having the dog in this class or group can be a disadvantage since it bears very little resemblance to the dogs typically entered as "hounds".

There are three varieties of the Norwegian Elkhound, all three are close cousins and have remained unchanged through the centuries. The Gray Elkhound is the one most familiar, then there is the Black (which is a slightly smaller variety) and the Swedish or the Jamthound.

Today the Elkhound still is used in the Northern countries to track and follow wild game, including moose, elk, deer, lynx and wolf. Many of the pet owners of this breed have no idea that indeed it is a hunting dog with unique versatility for it will bay on the track, or creep in silence behind the animal, or attack with dodging and feinting to bring the animal down.

Those who do hunt with this dog will insist that he can pick up the scent of the elk or moose as far away as three miles. He also is used on smaller game because moose and elk are not as plentiful as they once were and of course now there are established hunting seasons for these animals. The Norwegian Elkhound is generally a versatile farm dog, going after all kinds of marauding predators and also making himself useful as a herding dog for the livestock. The Norwegian Elkhound is a medium sized dog with a densely furred coat. The color is solid gray in varying shades, with black tips on the ends of the hairs.

Usually there is a typical whiter band of hair across the shoulders and around the eyes in a spectacle appearance. Also the breeches of the hind legs and the underside of the tightly curled tail are women's jackets in lighter shades. Actually, the markings of the breed are similar to those of the Keeshond. However the Keeshond has a coat which is much longer. The Norwegian Elkhounds of today are popular as a family pet in most parts of the world and of course are shown in the dog shows.

One of the most well known judges and breeders, Patricia Hastings, made the Norwegian Elkhound famous in the show rings of the United States and also at Crufts. She bred and raised this breed for many years and took several of her dogs to the coveted wins of Best of Breed and even Best in show at Westminster, later going on to become a judge of great skill.

Her positive influence on the breed has no doubt increased the numbers of these dogs that are now found as family pets. However the dog is not a dog which is for everyone. It is a dog that must have a purpose and simply lying about the house is not part of its nature. Any dog that has solid working or hunting instincts can quickly become bored and quite destructive if the working nature of the breed is not channeled and encouraged.

Labradoodles and Goldendoodles, A new breed of dogs.

A fellow blogger was always mentioning "puggles" to me. Then one day I went for a walk with my 3 dogs and my neighbour and her dog. She mentioned the labradoodles and goldendoodles to me. She had seen them on a t.v. show.

So, I decided to do some investigating. For those who want some information about these dogs, but not long scientific reports, here is my article. I went on a long internet journey, and I found out some amazing facts.

At first I though someone was maybe just getting bored, and decided to create a new breed of dog. But no, there are some very valid reasons for breeding these mixtures. Just read on, and you may find that there are reasons why you may want to look into one of these "oodle" dogs yourself.

As always, do lots of research and get lots of recommendations from current "oodle" owners. There are also forums and clubs that you can find on the internet. These can also help you decide if one of these is for you.

In the meantime, just enjoy learning something new, and when your neighbour tells you about an "oodle" dog, then you will know what they are talking about.

A Labradoodle is a crossbred dog created by crossing the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle. Their temperament makes them good service and family dogs.

The impetus behind experiments with this type of cross was the desire to achieve a service dog that would not shed and so produce a hypoallergenic dog that is suitable for people with allergies to fur and dander. This has not yet been reliably achieved, as Labradoodles have varying coat lengths and textures, and crosses beyond the first generation do not yield a predictable coat type.

The result of this cross produced intelligent, easily trainable puppies that were the beginning of the Labradoodle as we now know it. Crossing these two breeds also gave the Labradoodle a hybrid vigor and a variety of coat types.

Labradoodles combine the best of the 2 breeds.

Labradoodles are known to posses the gentle, sweet disposition of the retrievers combined with the intelligence and allergy friendly coats of the poodles. Labradoodles are wonderful with children and people who have special needs. They are non-aggressive, highly intelligent dogs that are extremely easy to train. They want nothing more than to please their people.

The Labradoodle can vary in size: Standard, Medium and Miniature

Color varies from chalk (milky white), shades of cream, gold, black, chocolate, red, caramel and silver.

Coat: Labradoodles usually have no body odor, require minimal bathing and brushing and rarely, if ever, attract fleas. They seldom shed hair but will need to be groomed.

Wooly: Somewhat like a poodle. Requires regular grooming and is allergy friendly.

Fleece: The ultimate coat. It is easily maintained, non shedding, allergy and asthma friendly.

Hair: Anything from flat and straight to curls down the back and possibly wavy. It can vary from minimally to profusely shedding. Not likely to be allergy friendly.

Allergy and Asthma sufferers - Labradoodles may be the breed for you! Check it out...

The Labradoodle is still under development. Strictly speaking, the labradoodle cannot yet be described as a dog breed because it does not breed true. Further, the breed standards of breeds-under-development are invariably freer, more open to interpretation and cover more observable types than those of established or kennel club-recognized breeds.

The term Goldendoodle (Golden Doodle) describes a hybrid dog, crossbred between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. This hybrid is often said to have begun in Australia, along with the Labradoodle;

US fanciers challenge this assertion. Poodle hybrids have become increasingly popular and it is likely that the combination of Golden Retriever and Poodle has been duplicated by breeders in various countries.

Goldendoodles are intelligent and obedient. The make great family pets and will be wonderful companions. They are vey social and devoted to family members. They are people dogs, good with kids and other dogs and pets, and friendly with strangers.

Goldendoodles are likely to get into mischief if they spend most of their lives alone or bored. (My golden retriever certainly gets in trouble when bored. I can vouch for that first hand.) They are intelligent and love to please, therefore, they are very easy to train. They are a medium to large size family dog with great temperaments.

When bred correctly, most of your first hybrid crosses are much healthier because they are NOT in-bred women's coats or line-bred or back-bred to their cousins, fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers. The Goldendoodle can work out well for those who suffer from allergies. They shed little to none, and they are very loving dogs. If you have allergy or dog hair concerns, look into a goldendoodle.

There are some amazing Labradoodle and Goldendoodle sites on the internet, with references to breeders in USA and Canada, and World Wide. These sites have some beautiful pictures of dogs and puppies. You will fall in love with them. I did instantly. That is why I posted about these dogs on my blog. And that is why I was so compelled to write about them.

The Not So Austrailian, Australian Shepherd Dog Breed

The Australian Shepherd is NOT one of the several breeds developed in Australia, as one would assume from the name. In actuality it was believed to have sprung out of the dogs which were used by the Basque shepherds of southern Spain. In 1875 Basque shepherds migrating to American shores brought specimens of the breed with them. It was at that time that the original strains of the breed came to be known in this country and later evolved into the breed now known and recognized by the American Kennel Club as the Australian Shepherd.

The Australian Shepherd is somewhat blocky in build, quite square looking, with no tail or docked tail. The coat is dense and double coated, stand off hairs are not part of the standard but many of the dog show exhibitors accentuate the coat by blowing it out to make it appear that coat has more "fluff' than it actually has. The bone is moderate, with round feet and straight legs.

The colors are very specific for the show ring: blue, blue merle, red merle and all red. White may be found on the front and as a "collar": around the neck but should not be found between the withers and the tail nor on the sides between the elbows and the back of the tail. The head of the Australian Shepherd is usually very pretty, as the fold over ears frame the skull beautifully and there is enough coat around the neck to make a "ruff" similar to that of the collie or the Shetland sheepdog.

In appearance this dog can be mistaken for a Shelty except that the observant onlooker will see that the body is blockier and heavier of bone than the Shelty and the head of the Shelty is more refined than that of the Australian Shepherd. Furthermore the "Aussie" has no tail.

The breed quickly became a favorite in the show ring and as a pet. It was not admitted to the American Kennel Club until 1993. Many of the fanciers of the breed have continued to strive to keep this breed true to the purpose for which it was originally bred, that of a sheep herding and guarding dog. The instincts of guarding are part of its nature and it is distrustful of strangers and will bark a warning, but should not attack nor threaten, so he makes a good watchdog. It has made its mark in the field of herding and working as a farm dog, plus agility, obedience, search and rescue and as a therapy dog and assistance dog.

It is a dog of high intelligence and great loyalty. This is a dependable dog, devoted to its owner and willing to work tirelessly on anything that is demanded of it. Because his genetic inheritance includes the desire to herd and guard the flock independently, this is a "thinking" dog. The dog should be alert and eager to follow the commands of its master. Anyone who is not able to give this dog a "job" will find that he can become a nuisance quickly, he needs to have a jo women's coats b to do.

His herding instinct also includes the desire to give chase and he needs to have a fenced in area and plenty of exercise. He makes a great pet and a good farm worker, being happy in urban or country environments.
